Under The Stars | Oil Painting

“Under The Stars” (2022) is an oil painting inspired by Caravaggio’s famous chiaroscuro style. I have used warm colours for the skin and hair of the portrait, and created a dark and intimate background. I’ve also added a warm glow for extra emphasis on the subject. This artwork made me realise that I no longer wanted art and design to just be a hobby; I wanted to build a career from it. The beauty of designing something to your liking and seeing it come to life sparked my passion for pursuing graphic design professionally.
